Kings and Priests

Did you know that the Bible says in Christ we (who believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God) are all Kings and Priests. That we have the righteousness of Christ...that when God looks at us He does not see our sin, He see us as perfect because His Son is perfect and He is seeing us in the righteousness of His Son Jesus. Jesus gave us His righteousness. We did not deserve to be given righteousness even though we did nothing righteous at all but then Jesus received our sin when he did nothing wrong to receive our sin or the punishment for our sins. This is the love God gave us that is so hard to understand some people reject it because they cannot believe it....how can you literally take a part of Your Holy Self (like God did) and create a human form of God which you now will call your Son and then not just let Him die but let Him take the sins of every generation for all of time and put it on Him at the cross and this is not even addressing the beating and the pain and suffering He went through on the way to Calvary (where He died on the cross). Keep in mind Jesus is the Father (He who hath seen me hath seen the Father) part of Himself and He allowed this horror. Why? Because God had ordained from the foundation of the world that "without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin"...so God's people shed the blood of goats and sheep and birds and sacrificed and asked forgiveness for their sins once a year. But this was temporary,,,they had the 10 commandments and were following them or trying but every single one failed...through time God allowed man to see that his best efforts could not make him perfect and acceptable to God. God had the answer all along...Jesus, so when God saw the sinful state of man He said "once and for all I am going to settle the sin problem so these children of Mine can get to Me and receive the wonderful life I have for them". This required the shedding of blood...and Jesus was the only Perfect One whose shed blood could once and for all take care of the sin problem. Thus Jesus went to the cross to satisfy once and for all eternity the sin question. His death and Resurrection brought us eternal salvation, healing, life. Eternal life is available to us if we will only believe. That is all God asks. Just believe, like Abraham: He believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness. Believe!. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God and you shall be saved. Once again loving Jesus is not about a Church or a religion it is about Jesus. Just believe.
